1997 c1500 4.3l won't start
I just changed fuel pump filter, plugs wires cap rotor. The fuel pressure is 60psi. Truck has spark, will start with starter fluid. Cannot keep it running. Before this death, truck would sputter while driving

Re: 1997 c1500 4.3l won't start
Do you have solid ground connections to both the engine and the frame? Battery terminal corrosion? Had a problem on another vehicle that did the exact same thing, the fuel pump would prime upon turning the key, but when started there wasn't enough amperage available to support the fuel pump. Attached a better ground wire to the frame and problem solved. If you have changed your terminal ends because of the original ac delco battery leaked acid on them, it wouldn't be out of the question. -Chris

I don't know if this would be the problem because it ran this morning! It's driving me crazy.

Definately sounds like the fuel pump. Check the flow and compare to specs.
