Question Headlight question

I went to adjust my d-side headlight on my 99 mk4 and the plastic gear that goes aroung the stud that actually goes into the headlight is striped so I can't adjust it. I tried to use pliers but it just falls back down, I guess due to that plastic piece. Can I get a new adjuster or will it be a whole new light??

plastic headlight screw

I was putting new xenon bulbs in my MKIV and stripped the same plastic screw you are talking about. As a result my passenger side headlight points down. I have been wondering the same thing, whether those screws can be replaced by themselves. Have you found an answer yet? If so please let me know via a post or e-mail.
