my vibrant performance intake doesnt make ANY noise

hey there i got a 2.2L sunfire 02 and i just got the vibrant short ram intake and the air filter it came with and i installed it and eveyrthing i love the performance improventment thats for sure but i do defeintely want some sound, but i cant hear it at all and i have a buddy who has another sunfire with the same vibrant intake and his does have a throttle noise too it the onlydifference is he has a K&N air filter on i have the perofrmance air fitler that came with the vibrant air intake could that be what makes the difference in noise or any idea why my intake is so silent? i also noticed when i first installed it and the air filter hanging to the side but still on it did make noise but perhaps a bit of the pipe was exposed and dirt air may have been getting in so anyawys its striaght on now and sealed with the metal clamp but i get no noise out of her any ideas? thanks.

hmm my intake actually was never performing really at all, i just now fiddled with it and now i can hear it (quite but its there) and notice a lot more performance improvement, i think its because my engine is i dunno werid i think there has been some dmaage to it for sum reason and it really gets crappy on me a lot of the time untill i just fiddle with it a bit and the life in her comes back lol i think it has something to do with someone didnt change the oil in her for 36000 km.. got an engine flush but who knows what else damage could have been done?
