Cd changer not working

I posted this earlier, but have a few more details.

200 Jeep Grand Cherokee
10 disc cd changer
The remote that is wired does not work any longer.
It looks like the LCD readout glows, but no numbers show up, and the buttons do not respond. When I put the 10 disc cartridge in, it start playing a cd, but I cant control it. It will just play all 10 cds back to back. This is also annoying, because I can't listen to very many radio stations because the RF signal from the changer causes interference and I can't turn it off. As far listening to any AM stations, forget about it. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
JD
