My 2001 escape is doing 20 mi/g and I think is supposed to be around 24 mi/g.
I recently changed the spark plugs and filters. Does anyone know what else could be involved in the increase of the fuel consumption? By the way, answering to someone who asked about fuel improvements. I put a “tornado” on my cars around a year ago and I have seen some savings on the civic but not too much on the escape. Thanks |

hey i just did a trip from missouri to wisconsin and actually got 27 mpg i couldnt believe it way better than what factory states. also for better gas mileage you could use synthetic oil and a bigger air intake.

i have also heard that if you drive with your windows open on the highway that causes drag and sucks gas. you could get better plug wires that helps. pretty much whatever makes your car more effecient. will also improve horsepower but the more you get on it and drive like a madman the more gas it needs.
