harmonic balancer

would anyone know the symptoms of a faulty harmonic balancer?

i suspect mine to be bad, but not 100% sure

Harmonic Balancer has no moving parts. It's a weight that hangs off the front end of the crankshaft. I wouldn't thing this is your problem, what are the symptoms. (and model year and engine size and mileage and what you've done so far, etc. etc)

I HAVENT DONE ANYTHING YET, BUT I HAVE READ WHERE A FAULTY HARMONIC BALANCER CAN CAUSE ALTERNATOR PROBLEMS, WHICH I HAD, ALREADY....WHEN AT IDLE ESPECIALLY AFTER RUNNING FOR AWHILE THE ENGINE MAKES A NOISE I CANT QUITE DESCRIBE...BUT ITS SORTA LIKE WOO WOO WOO WOO...THATS THE BEST I CAN DO, I HAVE TO GET A FULL DIAGNOSTIC, I DONT WANNA DO A REBUILD UNLESS I HAVE TO
