Electrical power stuff

Okay so i recently hooked up my air/fuel ratio gauge. Yesterday at night i was driving and the stereo just fucking went off and then back on. So i noticed that the stereo console goes off, the dash lights and headlight dim a little (barely noticeable, but still) when i place my foot a little on the brake. Now earlier that day the stereo did not do that all probably because i didnt have my lights on. So then i get out of my car and i lock the car with my switch (stock alarm system) so the lights dont even turn on like they usually do. I unlocked the door and it had a hard time doing that too. I get in the passenger side door and the lights turn on and then go back off (light turn on when you open the door).

So if anyone has any idea what this is please let me know. Do i need a new battery? A blown fuse maybe?

I have the a/f gauge light hooked up to my stereo (along with my boost gauge, but its kind of seperate), one wire to the ecu and another grounded to a nut on the chassis to the left of the dirver right near a fuse box.

Re: Electrical power stuff

this might help. that same thing happened to me but a lot worse. I got a new battery and that fixed the problem. but then my alterantor stopped working. so I would say its either the battery or alternator.

But my problem didn't start until I changed out the fuel filter.
hope that helps
