Thats a good question.... ive heard of these guys before and from the looks of their website id say its legit. But then again i dont think id send him $72000 without at least seein the car in person on american soil first.

I take that back... if you look in the skyline doing 170 mph thread youll notice that the blue r34 has plate# BlOWDG which is the same plate as the silver r34 on his site. Coincedence??

BlowDog plate is Cems plate, those cars are owned by Cem and are NOT U.S. Legal.

There are two very important things that you should keep an eye out for potential scam sites. This one has both.
1: only a toll free number listed, no local phone numbers
2: no physical address (no address, like this site, or only lists a PO Box)

The second is the most important, especially if you're going to give someone $36K+.

If you look at the link for the Skylines Downunder forum, you'll see one of the names brought up as being involved is "Justin." They refer to this site, which is obviously someone involved with Japimportsusa, looks like it pays well having a carpet cleaning/import scam.

The domain owner info you can get from a domain lookup site like www.whois.net

Just enter the domain you want to lookup (japimportsusa.com in this case) and it'll give you the info.

All the info was found by several different people on SDU last year when one guy claiming to work with the guy/company tried to convince us that it was a legal importer. Often these people don't realize that most Skyline owners aren't easily fooled and are a tight network.

They are a legit RI, they are on the NHTSA list of RI's:

Now it's just a matter of seeing if they'd try to import a Skyline or not. Every legit importer I ever spoke with (other then Motorex/RB Motoring) wouldn't touch a Skyline because of Motorex's confidentiality info.

Oh, on a side note, even though it's a crappy site, it has info that the scam site didn't. A good local phone number, and a physical address that you can go to and verify their place of business.
