Re: god damn !!

^^^ Your asking to be flamed for that comment. And that isn't a direct swap into your car either. That is for the LN2 2.2 ( 95-97) after that was the 2200 LN4.

Re: god damn !!

it was clean enough for the parts that i had already...for the LD9 i would have had to buy everything it needed along with the engine...and so what if i get flamed...everyones got their preference...and i thought this site was for ppl to ask questions to post updates on thier cars for ppls input...but if that imput negative..keep to themselves right ?

Actually, dollar for dollar, the LD9 is faster. So you may want to be careful who you insult. LD9 does better when exposed to boost, to Nitrous, and to N/A upgrades when compared to the LN2. So, I really don't know where you get off calling me a n00b, kiddo.

doesnt matter if you think the LD9 does better when its exposed to parts...its not all about parts in some cases...but if your just going to tell me that the 2.4 is automatically better then a 2.2 cuz what...its displacement is higher by .2L ?...and it doesnt matter if its DOHC or SOHC cuz there are sohc's that kick the shit out of dohc...its about fine tuning the engine..a 2001 .celica GTS has a stock horse power of 130 but can kick the crap and then some out of a cavalier Z24 which comes with 140-150...so obviously horse power isnt a factor...2.2 when taken care of will have more potential then 2.4 no matter...so if your going to talk to someone who knows how to tune a car and actually came out with a 2.2 thats faster then a 2.4 with modifications done to it and your just gonna tell them it reacts better when you put parts in and that comment prolly came from someone who prolly doesnt even put there own parts in then to that person..you are a noob

Re: god damn !!

you cant just put in a part and expect it to do all the work on its own..if you want the full potential out of that part you have to fine tune it AFTER its been put in.

Re: god damn !!

A stock celica gts comes with 180hp at the crank, not 130 but they are fast as shit and will walk all over a z24 with the same hp. You also have to take in account that the celica is a lot lighter.

Re: god damn !!

celicas come with 130 to the wheels...cavaliers come with 140 to the wheels...and they are not lighter then the cavalier ...i already did the research you ass clown...why dont you put some knowledge of your own in instead of going from thread to thread agreeing with others or repeating shit that others have already said...its ppl like you that only bolt shit onto their car and think itll go faster then a car that doesnt have it...so until you have someone to say other then "maybe you should research something before making yourself look like an ass you noob" just keep you mouth shut..cuz ive never read anything that you wrote that actually had credibility to back it up.

doesnt it make an engine better when the same mods on both engines, one is better? we werent talking about an alcohol superdrag 2.2ohv vs a stock 2.4, we said stock 2.4 is substantially faster, which it is. so you add a whole bunch of engine performance parts. if you did that to the other engine it would cope better with the parts and perform better, so yes it is a better engine. you can rest assured that yours at least gets better gas mileage lol
