I think this would be ok, i think....

Ok heres the deal, I have the following in the closet:
14b turbo
Oil feed/return lines
1g BOV
MBC
Dejon LICP

Im a dummy though because I forgot about the adapter I need for the BOV. I have my 190 fuel pump comin on friday and I was wonderin that if I were to install everything but the BOV, and I set the PSI at 15 or so, would I be able to wait until I get my adapter to put in the BOV, or is it just worth it to wait and make sure everything is done at the same time?

suuure why not, i doubt you can ruin anything by doing that, it just won't be as quick as you want it until you get the 1g bov adapter

Re: I think this would be ok, i think....

are you serious? you're going to *try* and run the car without the bov after upgrading the turbo? first off, after installing all that shit, your car wouldn't start for the simple fact that there would be a big ass gaping hole in your UICP since there is no BOV there....secondly, if you DID get it started, say by duct taping the hole, and ran that fucker at 15psi say goodbye to your 14b, hello compressor surge.....unless the duct tape blew off, then the car would stall lol.

Re: I think this would be ok, i think....

Yeah, I hope you meant that you were going to leave the stock BOV in place until you got the adapter. That would not be a problem, but running without a BOV would be bad!

Re: I think this would be ok, i think....

You would be suprised of the things I have seen:

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=183623

This guy decided that his evo wasn't running right (too much knock) so he decided to turn the base timing as far as it would go without using a timing light. WOW!

Re: I think this would be ok, i think....

ahh ok, i thought you meant you were gonna run with no bov at all.....had me a bit worried there lol. as for the boost being at 15psi, your stock bov is gonna leak. besides you could run the 14b at like 12 and see an improvement in performance over the t25....from what i've read

Re: I think this would be ok, i think....

I would still set it to 14-15 on the stock BOV.
