Injector cleaning?

Hey guys i have a 92 talon Tsi and i noticed when Im in high rpms in 3rd gear its feels like it not getting enough fuel (kinda sputters) I know its not fuel cut and i just replaced the plugs (ngks) and the wires (hotwires) and a buddy of mine said it might be dirty injectors. How do you clean em out. Does that crap that comes in a bottle that u add to your gas tank do it or do i need to take em out and do it? Thanks for the help.

Re: Injector cleaning?

I used injector cleaner that you put in your gas....seemed to work fine.

Re: Injector cleaning?

You could send them to cruzin performance. They do a bang up job of cleaning and flow testing them.

Re: Injector cleaning?

The in the tank stuff is more of a preventative measure. If they are actually clogged, it wont help much. IF you do use those things, at least run the tank down to a quarter or so, so its more concentrated. I personally run some MMO (marvels mystery oil) through every so often. Its an awesome cleaner. I also add a quart to the oil a few hundred miles before its due for an oil/filter change.

The best way to make sure the injectors are both clean, and flowing what they are supposed to, is to send them out to cruisin as mentioned above, or another similar injector shop.
