Best oil for integra gsr

I was wondering what you guys think I should run for oil. I'm currently running conventional 5w-30 Quakerstate and I don't abuse my car but I do drive it like it was meant to be driven. Do you think running synthetic is a good idea it has 160,000 k's on it and I want to run the best so I won't be damaging or putting excessive strain on the engine. Thanks btw I'm new and I think this is a great forum.

Re: Best oil for integra gsr

I have always used mobil 1 100% synthetic. For me, I use 10w30 with 80k miles.

That was exactly what I was gonna go for obviously you can't do no better than Mobil 1. The only thing I'm worried about is if the car will like it or if it would make it worse. Did you notice any difference in engine performance or did you alway put in synthetic from the begining.

Re: Best oil for integra gsr

I got the car 10k miles ago, and the previous owner was using mobil 1 synthetic 5w30 or something a little lighter, but with the higher miles (80K, really high right?) I wanted to use 10 weight. I have not noticed any difference in switching weights of oil, but I have confidence when I rev my engine that I'm running one of the best synthetic oils out there.

I would have to agree w/ Mobil One Fully Synthetic, but next oil change, i'm using Royal Purple in the engine and in the tranny. It's about the same price and it's also fully synthetic. I was also told to use S2000 filters....basically anything but Fram.

I thought fram was a pretty good oil filter what do you guys recommend. Ya somebody also told me about royal purple but don't really know much about this brand of oil.
