733i Stereo Upgrade Question

Hi!
My '84 733i was vandalized the night before I picked it up. They screwed up the door lock and stole the stereo (cutting the wires and loosening the panel in the process).
Anyway, my question is for those of you who've upgraded your stereos: What brand/model do you recommend? I was thinking Blaupunkt, but I bought one for my Bavaria and ended up mounting it in the glovebox, as it was too long for the dash/console.
I'd ask a stereo salesman, but was planning to buy online and save $$$.

I brought a Apline Stero for my 733i at Tweeter Stereo. It cost me about $200. and fits the orginal stero slot very well. The tech had to do some rewiring since it's a BMW....hope this helps
