Gauge Lights
I may have the same problem. Is yours digital? My digital gauge becomes mostly invisible if you turn on the parking or headlights. Could the dimmer switch for the gauges be doing the same to both? Get any answers yet?

Re: Instrument Panel Lights
Just a question....did you replace the stereo? or tampered with it? if so I got your answer.

Instrument Lights 1994 Blazer
Well, my buddy's radio is also acting up. He hasn't replaced it, it is original, but it turns on by itself. It turns on every time you start the engine/turn on the ignition.
He also has an alarm (aftermarket) that's acting up. His car is a '94, but an overseas version of the S-10 blazer 4-door. It has the old square body style. Thanks for your help. |

I figured out that if the instrument lights don't work after installing a cd player it has to do with two wires running to the stock deck. There is a thick brown wire and a thin grey wire. I am not sure of the exact fix since there are so many accessories involved with the same circuit.

Re: Instrument Panel Lights
Check the wiring, a connection might have broken or fallen out.
