I recently bought a 2005 Kia Sportage (which I just love!), and I'm trying to install an Alpine CDA-9853 stereo in it. My stereo installer says that Kia has apparently changed the stereo cable connector in this model year, and that what normally works for late-model Kias (a Metra 70-1003) won't fit.
Does anyone know where to get a stereo wiring harness for a 2005 Sportage? Or even what the part number would be, from whatever source? Thanks! -Brent |

Re: Stereo wiring harness for 2005 Sportage?
I have no idea man... I just recently was told that there are such a thing as harness couples for aftermarket stereos... But the guy that told me said best buy would have it. (I believe it was fastkia that mentioned this but not so sure)
But if you can't find it... just do what I always do and cut and splice the wires. You can get the little wire nuts or lugs from lowes. Tape any bare wire. and disconnect the fuse first and label the wires so you don't short anything.
