HELP a/c problem

Have 92' LeSabre a/c stop working end of last season. I figured it just needed recharging since my dad was the orig. owner and said it had never been done. So I decided to retrofit it, but I cant seem to get it to take on any 134a, I noticed the a/c clutch is not cycling, I figured it would'nt any way with a/c system empty. Is there a way to jump a/c clutch temporarily to get enough 134a in to run it on its on?

What do you mean by retrofit? If you are trying to put 134a in the original r-12 system, it can't be done.

Yes buickmastermind thats what i'm trying to do bought a kit from my local parts store it just consisted of some kind of stabiler and an oil/134a mixture, and i also changed the drier and orifice. Which should have been all i need to do to convert to 134a. But i need to know how to jump the a/c clutch long enough to get the 134a into the system.

Re: HELP a/c problem

Well, you could try to find the pressure sensor, and see if you can put pressure on it so that the relay activates the compressor. The sensor will be located along one of the A/C lines.
Beyond that, I can't say for sure.
