Couple quick questions
If you guys remember I posted awhile back with my plan for my car. I now have the k&n intake, ATS throttle body, downipipe back custom exhaust w/ magnaflow high flow cat, and now i just bought pretty much new ct26 with a larger compressor wheel.(id have more but crashed and had to buy new rims).
Now I wanna boost my new ct26 to 11psi. Will the turbo xs manual boost controller be a good selection for this? Also do you think a fuel controller would be neccessary to compensate the extra air thatd will be going in? I was thinking an hks afr, it says it's designed for cars that are lightly tuned(ie mine). If you would recommend one of these my next question is do MR2's have an air flow meter, this determines whether to buy the type L, or type D. Thanks |

Re: Couple quick questions
If everything is working properly you will never need more fuel with a CT26 ... even a modified CT26. It simply can't out flow the OEM fuel system.
Adding fuel would screw things up for you. 11 psi will not be taxing for your system. Stock boost is just over 11 psi. As long as your engine is healthy, there is no reason you should not be able to run 15 psi.

Alright, thanks for the help. Well at the moment my check engine light is on im going to have a mechanic at my work check out what it is. Also i have a small crack on the part that connects to the intake side of my turbo. Other than that engine is pretty healthy. 90,000 new clutch and timing belt. Also about to do a tune up.

Meh, either way the point remains the same. 15psi is what the ct26 can be brought to, but wouldn't recommend trying any higher.

Re: Couple quick questions
Stock boost is 7 ~ 11.8 psi.
Fuel cut is at 12. NJMR2, the check engine light just means you have a code stored. You can check the codes yourself ... it's easy and fun to do ![]() You need to get that part fixed. Chances are you are letting in unmetered, unfiltered air.

Re: Couple quick questions
You are talking about the black tube that fits over the compressor inlet? ... you have to get that at the dealer.
I would try: partznet.com
