Re: Heck yea just got my first truck!!!!!!!!!

you can pick up a K&N air intake on ebay for around $200. You can get a corvette servo for ~$18 on ebay, also.

i say keep that $200 in your pocket, your gonna be spending alot of cash on gas. but if you want to buy something, i would say the intake as well... are you looking for performance or looks?

I agree. Or save the money for a bigger and better mod.

Re: Heck yea just got my first truck!!!!!!!!!

hey hey.i too only got my truck recently and cant decide wut to do to it first. i like the intake idea so far.but im also old school and theres no repalcement for displacement-especially when ur vehicle is in the 4000 pound range and ur only runnin around 283 cubes.im savin my pennies for either an LS1 or 6.0 swap.if anyone has any suggestions tho id love to know the easiest way to find one used.im guessin junkyard hopping?i know of a few of u that have some pretty serious trucks that have hit the magic 12 sec. zone and i must have one lol.im capable of doin the swap, but im not used to lookin for used engines that r so new.

You can find Gen III 6.0L's on eBay, places like www.gmpartsdirect.com , Or your local late model junkyards. The great thing about them is the bolt on mods you buy for your 4.8, 5.3, will bolt on to the 6.0 also!
