Turn the little knob so that the white section is pointing towards the blue instead of the red.

Take a hammer to it. When that doesn't work, take it to a AC repair place to have them look at it, they'll probably tell you the AC clutch is out or the compressor is stupid or something, but I'd not screw with Freon if I were you.

well, you probably need freon. so youre going to need someone that is certified to work on A/C systems. if you can live with no AC then you will probably save some money...

yup, the only way your getting your AC back is if you bring it into a shop... there is a special machine that you need to put more freon (sp?) back in... chances are you have a leak in the lines.

Re: Hot Air

After so long the freon will go out and you have to get it refilled. If your car is a 96 and you have yet to get it done. My car hade the same problem and its a 2000. Go somewhere else if you dont trust the poeple around you.

Re: Hot Air

ok, i meant to say .65lbs, I already drained it myself and added freon, checked for leaks, nothing, and i also changed all the lines last summer and put in freon and it worked all summer but know it's blowing hot, and it's for my wife not me.

Re: Hot Air

.65 is low...usually its like almost 2 lbs dude...i just took HVAC in college for auto technology...saturns hold like 1.7lbs...i think thats ur problem right there....also did u make sure u put oil back in if any came out?? did u pull a vacuum n do all those things associated with it?? HVAC isn't somethin to fuck around with

it should tell you under the hood or in the service manual how much refrigerant goes in there...as well as how much oil.

Re: Hot Air

yeah...u need to do a recovery...pull a vacuum on it..look on the compressor as to how much is supposed to be in there...make sure it holds a vacuum...add oil if any came out...then put the amount of refrigerant in that is needed
