|
my first dsm problem
ok i just got this car like a month ago , first week was fine , but a couple days ago it stared shaking alot at wot , feels like I am hitting rev limiter and it won't go no where????? i dunno, so if there is any DSM pros , help me out!
91 Laser Rs turbo Mods : 3in custom full exhaust. walbro fuel pump srp manual ball and spring boost controller set at 13psi.

could be a boost leak or ignition probelm. When you say feels like your hitting a rev limiter do you mean once it hits a certain RPM it stops pulling as hard if so it could be a boost leak.

Sounds more like an ignition problem to me. Give us some more details. Oh, and be ready, this is definatly not the last problem you will have with your DSM.

Does it feel like your loosing power, does it do it when your not under WOT?
I think its ignition, have your checked your gaps on your spark plugs? I had kind of the same problem and it ended up being my plug wires, but we need more details. |

I notice that the plugs on the coil side don't seal very good, i mean you can take them off really easily , they are new too, spark plugs are gap at .28 and they are new too, new coil pack,
i was thinking on checking the fuel filter. but it would take off, and then just start and feel like it lost all power , and not it doen't do at full boost, only on WOT it could be 5th gear at 40mph and you can really notice that sputtering . and when at full boost you can hear like missing and it just looses power . i dunoo!!

soo far nothing .... i made the plugs on the coil side get a really good conction, but the problem still persist. I notice it only does it for an hour after staring it, after that it won't do anymore. soo next things to check up are the TPS, and hopefully find something wrong. BTW is there a way to check if the TPS are bad with an oHm meter??? on these cars??

i found the problem , if someone get this problem in the future.
Someone told me to try and gave me a link, about the mopar combustion chamber cleaner/conditioner trick, and omg that thing makes miracles, so pretty much i had a lot of carbon builup on the valves, and combustion chamber , and was causing it to misfire . so now I love it!!
