PCV Valve
I'm about to swap out my old one and get a new one and was wondering if there were a particular brand that was better than others!?! Mitsubish wants $25 for it and everywhere else is selling it for under $10. I was at AutoZone and they had one but it was a Deutsch brand for $4 but I've never heard of them before...anyone know if they're any good? My other choice was this one:
http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...type=5&ptset=A but I'd have to order it through Kragen cause they didn't have it in stock. Thanks in advance. |

Re: PCV Valve
Get the OEM one. I only paid $13.17 from Rockville Mitsubishi when I bought mine. It only lists for 18.82 so someone is trying to rip you off.
The reason I say get OEM is I have heard that PCV vavles for these cars found at Auto Zone and the like are actually made backwards of the way they are supposed to operate.

actually, mitsubishi does list it for nearly 25 bucks. I just got a FRAM replacement from o'reily's, it was like just under 4 bucks.

Re: PCV Valve
I don't know how reliable this source is but they were saying to stay away from the Fram PCV Valves: http://www.planetkc.com/fatbiker/eng...my%20oil%20cap
I guess Fram just pretty much sucks at everything now. :o/ But yeah, just wondering what everyone thinks? Aftermarket or OEM? |

Re: PCV Valve
I looked directly at my invoice and LIST is exactly 18.82. I dont know why Rockville would have one list price and another dealer would have another list. Anyway, I'd just spend the little extra on this and get OEM.

Re: PCV Valve
I think it has something to do with the region that the dealership is in. Because a Mitsubishi dealership down in Riverside sells an oil filter for like $6.50 after tax but up here in El Cerrito, the same oil filter is $9.50.
