So yeah the install of the fuel pump on my firends moms 99 astro went well until yesterday when the car wouldnt start, offcourse they blamed me for installing the stater wrong, but it turns out the that the fuel pump broke now...how hard is it to replace the fuel pump? the guy at the store said the pump was inside the tank...any help would be appreciated...

If you just replaced the starter, first look at any wires you could have disconected...check for voltage back at the pump.

They arent too hard to change, drain the gas tank, losen the neck, disconnect the fuel tubeing, remove the starps. drop the tank, and remove the pump

There is alot on here about the fuel pumps just check the threads marked fuel problems, pump........
