Some new dyno numbers.

Well, we just had the National SVT Ford Contour meet this last weekend. On Friday, we had a dyno day and here is my results. Blue line was made with 4 psi, green is 8 psi, and red is 16 psi. The car has a base tune for 8 psi, but I just wanted to see how high I could go as long as the air/fuel ratio and timing were okay. As you can see, at about 4,700 rpms on 16 psi, the air/fuel hit about 13:1 so the run was cut short. The good news is, even at 4,700 rpms, I was already making 364 whp and 410 wtq. Im sure if we took it up to redline, it would have been a 400 whp run easily. We did have a 3.0L vortech'ed svt pull 340 whp and 269 wtq, and a 3.0L venom nitrous svt pull 281 whp and 289 wtq on a 30% progressive shot.

Those are some sick numbers. What do you have to help you put all that power to the ground?

hmmmm judging from those numbers you might be able to get away with running alittle leaner. you seem to be registering 11:1, you could probrably get away with running 11.5:1 or 11.7:1

19" wheels. hahaha jk! I have a quaife lsd and i swapped out the stock 4.10 final drive to a 3.82. Even then, 400 foot pounds of torque in a fwd car creates some serious traction issues.

Re: Some new dyno numbers.

Pretty nasty numbers from your little blue oval 6-banger. Congrats!

From what I've gathered of you, you seem to live in Az...is this true? If so, I know of a certain vehicle that would be a very nice matchup for your car...would make for some awesome videos. If you are infact in Az and would like to have some fun lemme know man.

Once again man, outstanding car!

Re: Some new dyno numbers.

365whp at 4700rpms...you can't argue with that. Very nice numbers!

I went with my buddy this past weekend to a dyno day for the "Z car club of the NorthWest". Saw a 465whp Z32 and a couple more Z32's and Z31's pulling over 350whp. Some fast cars. And when the Z car club was finished there was a supra that had over 49Xwhp. There are some crazy cars at those dyno meets.

BTW, didn't mean to steal your thread, so again, very nice numbers. I bet you're underestimated on the streets quite a bit, no?

Re: Some new dyno numbers.

The numbers look great.

Re: Some new dyno numbers.

contour's arent a 1/4 mile car. Great numbers man, I think you said you were hoping for a mid 12 second pass when you got it done.

id be happy with a high 12 sec pass, seeing as how other 350 whp contours run 13s, and no one has broke into the 12s yet. Although they are trapping anywhere from 105-112 mph. Yup, next mod is another dyno tune.
