How to disconnect auto door locks?
I don't have my book with me today so I can't look it up. What is the quickest way to disable/disconnect the auto door lock feature on a base '93 Metro?

if you take those actuators outa the doors, I would be interested in buying them.

Re: How to disconnect auto door locks?
I don't plan on taking the doors apart to remove the actuators. I was thinking more of just disconnecting the power to them for now.

Re: How to disconnect auto door locks?
Jim I think the circuit is somehow tied to the dome light switches in the doors. I don't remember there being a different link or specefic fuse that you can disable, sorry!

The auto lock is part of the lock system. You'd have to disable the whole power lock system to disable the auto locks. Look in the manual, he lock system should be on it's own fuse.

Re: How to disconnect auto door locks?
The lock system is not on its own fuse. Doesn't matter anyway. The easier way, which I just did, was to disconnect the 8 wire connector going to each door via the small panel inside the car, forward of each door. No more auto locking...
