1996 Ranger Code-P1443 Help help

My check engine light is on. The truck seems to hesitate at times.
The code- is the (Auxillary Emissions Control) "Autozone says its the "Evaporated Emissions Control Systen Control Valve." So, Where is it ?????????????????????????

I had same code on my 95 3.0. It ended up being the "purge valve selinoid". It's a small cylinder with in/out vacuum hose & an electrical connection. It's on driver's side fenderwell, hose running to carbon canister. Check all hoses also for vacuum leaks. Part cost $65 at dealer. Good Luck!

I assume you did unhook battery for 10-15 minutes to clear computer. Go have AutoZone read code again to make sure same code. Check that hoses are not cracked or stopped up also, & make sure selenoid is going in correct direction, there's an arrow on it. Good Luck!!
