Try the car comparisons forum. You'll receive much better input on what to buy there. BTW welcome to AF!

If you dont know (or dont want to take the hard work to learn) how to take care of a rotary, don't buy one.

Neither...get the Supra with a single conversion turbo, one of those massive ones...

Re: Maxda RX-7 TT or Toyota Supra TT?

i remember seeing a 30k$ turbo kit for the Supra TT, it claimed 1200 hp and it was SICK!!! ...i'd go w/ a 240 and turbo charge that, for some reason i think its ridiculous how much the RX-7 and Supra, and 300zx parts cost
i've also got a friend w/ a 300zx for sale for 4k or so, needs a little work but i imagine you'd be doing a lotof work on the new car anyways

I would go with the rx7. Its a more balanced car. Sure the engine is finicky but the car is generally cheaper than the supra to begin with. The rx7 in my opinion handles better and is lighter.

RX-7 All the way. They too can make huge hp numbers and will out handle the supra all day long. Why go fast in a straight line when going side ways is so much more fun?

Because excelleration kicks ass!!! Go with the Supra. Cassie is correct as well, unless you wanna become an engineer, you shouldn't mess with a rotary. BTW, what year of Supra are you thinking about getting?

The thing with the rotaries is you have to want to take care of it, its not the type of motor you can thrash on all day long then just stick in a garrage. Also, there aren't exactly a plethora (sorry, been watching the Three Amigos) of rotary mechanics. Just my 2 cents. Also, I think the Supra is the better looking of the two, but thats jsut me...

Supra. Insanely stout engine stock. Stock fuel system capable of 600whp. But I woudl just want stupid amounts of power with a decent handling car.

If you don't know how to drive and this is your first car, than neither. These cars are Waaaayyyyyy too powerful for a young inexperienced driver. Otherwise, Supra, much more reliable.

dont get the rx7. their engines suck and they blow every 60k miles. and they blow up because they have bad cooling problems.

You'll probably end up with a honda civic.

oh and rx7's have crankwalk, so get a 6 bolt rx7 motor.

supra, Rx-7's are baby's takes time, money and dedication to keep em going

on the other hand, supra's are much more expensive then Rx-7's

the rx-7 would be the better handler
supra would have the stronger engine
