code p1361 - secondary ignition circut - no start

Please help,
I try to start my van, it wont do anything, starter doesn't even click. I crawl under with a wrench and jump the starter, it will fire up and then die right away. I used my obdII scanner and it comes up showing P1361 which is "Ignition Coil B secondary circut" what does this mean?

The secondary ignition circuit should be the high-voltage side. The ignition coil has two coils: The primary side is what the 12 volts hooks to, and the secondary is what goes through the distributor and to the spark plugs. The code would suggest that there is a problem with the coil, but that doesn't explain why the starter solenoid isn't working. Sorry I can't be more help.

not sure about aftermarket scantool but p1361 is a incorrect key password send to pcm this will cause a no cranck or cranck and run briefly.e-mail me if you need more info [email protected]

see that is what the mechanic told me....that is is a problem with the passlock system. then I take it there, and they end up replacing the fuel pump relay and the starter relay, saying they were all corroded causing it not to start. But they charged me for a computer scan also. I wonder if they charged me for the reprogramming (they said it would be $60) then they wanted to make some extra monay and did more work just for the hell of it.
