Angry nissan cefiro noise when turning

hi, i am a little trouble by this oooing sound when I turn left usually when turn slowly . it seems to sound louder when the brake pedal is depressed. can anyone suggest what could be the problem? it doesnt make this noise all the time, just occasionally!

my car is a 1996 cefiro 2L automatic. I think it is a A32 model.

Easy things first: when were belts checked, replaced, tightened? If answer is dunno, then do it.

As u press brake while turning, the wheel assy bends a little and mechanically there is some difference in the forces affecting u wheels, steering. Depending on noise [cannot hear], I'd check any extra play in the wheel assy.

I dont think u have fan belts. Alt, A/C and pwr steering belts: All have to be checked/replaced periodically if u dont like tow trucks and calling for taxi... Brake lines/fluid, oil, plugs, filters swap & ign checkup belongs to that list: find out by reading what/when/why should be done/has been done for u vehicle. If u just drive, expect to be towed one day.

What is a wheel? Hmm. Somethin rollin attached to cars. How? Thats the Assembly; few nuts, bolts, rods, springs, struts... Google for pics what they are. Take u car to a shop and tell u symptoms.

Thanks for the info and clarification. fyi i have my car checked at least 6 monthly and i have seen 2 mechanics, 1 said I turned the steering too much and that is a common to all cars, the other cant tell and said it was not the brake when i sort of suggested that.

I recently had another noise under the hood, like a little bird trapped in there! we discovered it was the tensioner, the mechanic put some lubricant spray and it went away. do you reckon this same thing could also be the same cause for the occasional ooing noise when i turn left?

thanks

Good to have two mechs. If the wheel assy has been checked off againsta any loose/worn thing, just drive (if the noise level does not wake up u neigborhood). Belts tight...

Remote diag is kinda impossible without hearing the noise.

Hi ,My 1996 3.0 Cefiro have same problem in last two years until last week i replace lower arm ball joint , tie rod end , stabilizer link and rubber bush , the ooooing sound solved. The rubber cover for old lower arm ball joint , tie rod end are break and cause the grease leaking when the ball joint working without grease will shorten the life span and come out the funny sound ..... oooing... oooing....
The another noise under the hood, like a little bird trapped inside gone after i replaced the belt . I checked on the old belt and i notice that belt are start to crack .

I hope this will help you

Thanks, i have absent for some time...

that is a lot to replace must have cost you heaps?

as to the "bird" noise, it whines when it is damp/rainy days and and disappear after driving for a while. When i did the last service , the mechanic tighten and sprayed something on and also it has been quite dry until now,... hope it is just the belt and not tensioner...

Those mechanical things, cheap. Somehow the word "$en$or" tends to be very expensive. VGE TPS Throttle Position Sensor is listed as resistor =cheap 90$, MAF Mass AirFlow Sensor is priced 5x =800$, cause its listed with this 'magic word' in stealer$hip catalogs. Both production costs must be 1$ or less...

Find a 3rd place for steering, wheel assy checkup, replace what is necessary. Saves in the long run if u keep the car.

Consider uself lucky: no noise means engine dead.
