Weird lines dangling

Okay, so I had my car fully jacked today when I was changing my oil (gear and motor) and went back down to find the line that connects to the oil pressure sensor thingy. Well, I still can't find the line but when I looked up and stuff, I saw 2 weird lines just dangling up there. One end of one of the wires were black and the other end was green. Any ideas on what they could be? And where they plug into? I saw this one "thing" that was next to the oil pressure sensor thingy that seemed as if the black piece would go in there but I didn't stick it in because I wasn't sure of it. The green one was way too short to go all the way down so I still don't know what that plugs into. Any help would be greatly appreciated...and I still can't find the stupid line for the oil pressure!!! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Weird lines dangling

Okay guys, I found this while doing a search on Yahoo!:
http://www.3si.org/forum/showthread.php?p=2227620
So now I'm almost convinced that those two lines that I saw dangling are for the oil pressure sensors. I'm thinking the black one is for the actual sensor as shown in the link above and the green ended one is for this black thing with the bronze tip sticking up next to the sensor:

The only thing is that the lines are too short to go all the way down. Anyone have any ideas???

Re: Weird lines dangling

Yeah I think those are the wires for the oil pressure sensor. One easy way to tell is if your oil pressure gauge works or not. If they are them the black one should go on the plug type connection and the green one goes "sideways" on that "button" on the sensor it self....as for being to short could they be tangled up on something above? Dont quote me on the colors and which ones they go on, i'd love to go look for you but its 5 am and i just got home, ill look tomarrow if no1 else answers.

That first pic from 3si is exactly like the one I posted last year. I can tell you is any one of those wires you got dangling have a small rectangular end (like in the pic) then that one is the one that clips onto the sensor. the second wire has me baffled, cant imagine what its for.

Re: Weird lines dangling

Musashi, could the second one be for the sensor for the light that lights up in the dash should your oil be low? That's what I was thinking... I just remember that your picture of the oil sensor connection was different....but I could be wrong....

Twizted, yes, if you could, please take a look for me and post back. I wanted to take pictures to post here but I don't have a digi cam.

Re: Weird lines dangling

Okay, I went back down there this morning and the two dangling lines are definitely too short to reach all the way down to the sensors. I don't know where they originate from because the go under the manifold and kinda just disappear. You guys have any ideas/thoughts?

Musashi, I remember you saying that your line went into the firewall...I was trying to find a bunch of wires going through there but couldn't locate any!?!
