fast sentra gxe

I recently bought a 2001 Sentra GXE and I'm having trouble finding parts for my specific model. I'd also like to put a turbo in it. and suggestions?

not very many parts available for that engine, so you'll probably have to find a shop that will make a custom turbo manifild for you. Just a question, did you plan on buying a car that you could modify? Or did you just end up with that car for some reason? Just wondering, because the 2000+ 1.8 Sentra's are REALLY hard to find performance parts for.

I hadn't planned on getting a car to modify. My friends are into cars and I had the sentra so I decided I wanted to do some stuff to it. But yeah, I've been having a hell of a time trying to find parts for it. Thanks for your reply.

Re: fast sentra gxe

I dunno, If you like Nissans and your '01 is in good shape, I'd say try and sell it for a 1995-98 Nissan 200SX SE-R, or even a 2000-2001 Sentra SE 2.0. Not sure if you wanna go as old as a 91-94 SE-R, but they're easily the most fun. If not much harder to find.

yeah, I'd get the 2000-01 SE-R if I do. I have to keep this one for a least a year :-\ . I want to stick with a Sentra cause all I see are civics and wrx's.

Re: fast sentra gxe

Well, just so you know, there's no 2000-2001 SE-R. Only an SE. But it does have an SR20 in it. I'd look around on ebay for a decent short-ram intake and maybe some light-weight wheels for your GXE. At least have it sounding good and release some rotational weight!

I know some places

http://www.nissanforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=19 This place is all about the 1.8 nissan sentras. theres a guy named Mike Hall (chimmike) Theres a lot of info on there. A good performance place for minor bolt ons is hotshotsperformance.com also The person Mike Hall sells an entire turbo kit for the 1.8 sentra. you should check it out.

Re: Re: fast sentra gxe

my friend suggested getting this intake. http://www.hotshotperformance.com/ho...es/ns4008.html it just says 2000-03 sentra 1.8L. Does that mean that it will work with my GXE even tho it doesn't specify?
