CIVIC SI vs. CAVI Z24?

Just to my curiosity, which would most likly win in a race.

-Stock Z24 or Stock Civic SI?

I mean, when you look at all the specs, Z24 would be expected to win huh?, but from what i'm hearing the SI would probably take it.
Anyway what do you think?

Furthermore, give or take which car you think would win, how do you think you could improve the other automobile in order to come out on top (keeping a buget wise)?

(p.s., i posted this in the CAVALIER forum to see if the responces would be any different due to favortism)

actually, i think i got bitched at....wow, think someone was having a bad day?? but yah, i just eat it up when people who own the forums have to rant about where threads should go...

You seem to miss the fact that you put your post in 2 biased areas your going to hear OMG CIVIC FUCKING OWN CAVIYS YOYO!! here and CAVYS BE DA BOMB BOOOOIII in teh cav area.

you used the very loose term race. what kind of race a 1/4? prehaps a hot lap at VIR?

If you think someone offering help is you getting bitched at well i dont know what to say about that, yet you seem to "eat up" getting bitched at, thats odd most people don't like a insult thrown at them but to each there own.

hopfully i will be racing a cavy z24(auto) in my 98 ex(stick, soch 1.6L vtec.. no real mods excet SRI that sounds good but does little for preformance) real soon. i expect to get beat but it sould be fun.

to anyone else interested, in the Cavi forum, the majority said that the SI would start of slower, yet take it in the end most likely

Yeah, the Z24 isn't bad, but you edge him out in hp. You should pull him. He might pull a bit from a stop or low mph speed for a bit, but you will catch him.

Yeah, and he's an auto... as long as you get a good launch, you should be ok.

This might be because I dont have a stick, but anything over 1/4 I would lose in my 96 civ ex because it doesn't go any higher than 100 and the cavaliers i've seen go over 100. So I'd lose, but that's just my car.

Oh right, I'm pretty confident if you're talking about the later model SI (the one with the different motor than the EX) that the SI will win in a 1/4.
