Re: fuel reg.

wepon R is a cheap effective ajustable fpr. it's mounting bracket is crap, and it has a tendency to leak a little, nothing a little epoxy and teflon wont fix. you wont have a fitment issue, on the 2g's they hit agianst the upper timming belt cover.

aeromotive afpr's are the most widely accepted fpr i know of in the dsm world. there a little more expensive, but veary, veary reliable. they use AN lines insted of the crappy plastic tube/nipple setup.

both are ajustable up/down, and have ports for a fuel pressure gauge. some fpr's are only ajust fuel pressure up, and not down. they both also have a 1:1 boost ratio.

their are others available, those are just two that i know work relitivly well on our cars. well, aremotive works great, wepon r works relitivly well. other then that, dont forget to rewire your fuel pump if you havent yet.

Re: fuel reg.

From what I've read, the Weapon-R FPR suck balls. It's not just one person that has had problems with it, it's numerous accounts. www.importevolution.com has a FPR kit that comes with an aeromotive regulator and ALL lines/fittings needed to install it on your dsm for less than $200. If you read it quickly it may look like just an installation kit, but after looking at the included items picture and readly more carefully, you'll see that the FPR is included. My guess is that it's so cheap because it's a universal kit. It will DEFINITELY be the kit I get when I realize I need one (right now I'll just tell myself I'm in denial ).

The B&M FPR only lets you raise base fuel pressure, not lower it. Since we have to buy AFPR to lower the base fuel pressure down, the B&M is kind of pointless to buy.

With the IE kit, you will need to purchase a fuel pressure gauge separately. I think any gauge will suffice.
