idiling issue when starting in the morning? help

well as u may know i have had some problems with my 94 z28 lately... i had fluid from my water pump get into my distributer which caused it to fail.... then it ran like crap, until i fixed it... but even after i replaced the distributer its still not running as well as it use to... i feel wierd mentioning this idle thing but its one of those things that u would notice in ur car if something wasn't the same, the only thing different that i have noticed that might be a problem is when i start my car in the morning it drops to 1000 rpms which is where my car idles normally.. but the thing is before when my car was running good, and i would start it up in the morning it would idle at 1500 rpms for a min or two then drop to 1000 rpms when its warm... i have done the following maintenance to my car lately: spark plugs and wires, new o2 sensors, new distributer(cap and rotor were good when i replaced the distrib), normal oil changes... if anybody has any idea about the idling thing or any other ideas i would appreciate the feed back

Thanks
Neil

It idles at a grand? that's pretty high, sure htere's no vacuum leaks? one will cause rough idle and increased idle speed.
