My Spirit Won't Start

Hey, I've got a 1993 Dodge Spirit 2.5L...everything worked fine and I was driving the car today. I got out for maybe 10 minutes, got back in, turned the key and all I get is a click.

My first guess is that the starter is gone. Anyone have any suggestions?

Where is the starter located on these motors...I'm a VW guy and totally unfamiliar with this Spirit.

Thanks

Re: My Spirit Won't Start

well the click you hear is the solenoid on the starter(cheap fix) is to hit the starter while cranking the motor over(still cheap)uninstall the starter and bench test it by connecting a set of jumper cables to the starter and tap the positive to the solenoid you should notice if it spins, if it does install it back in try starting it again if the same happens then it could be a bad ground wire(not cheap)take it to a shop that has a good reputation for fixing starters
