upcoming substage

*edited*
after relealizing how stupid my last plan was ive decided on either a single 18 or a dual 12 setup. i know very little about high subwoofers. ive hear alot of good stuff about RE and Adire and AA. im looking for a good daily driver but i also want to be able to crank it up and show off. i want to ideally be able to be both of these systems: 4X pioneer 800W sealed. and 2 audiobahn 1200W bandpass. from what i hear anything from any of the afore mentioned companies should be able to destroy these w setups. i want SQL, but if i have to deviate to eaither spl or sq ill go towards spl, ive got mids and tweets to sound good.

thanks in advance for all your help!

Re: upcoming substage

the last one is a huge waste of money, just go with a single 15 or 18

Re: upcoming substage

do you need the SQ? cause IMO youd be wasting a lot of cash if you are lookign for mostly SPL. there are cheaper subs that get louder.

1 18> 2 12's both efficent wise and displacement... ie it will get louder with 1/2 the power...

Yes, but its hard to get 7-8 cubes net in a car and still have a proper setup where the bass isn't all muffled out by bad positioning soooo.....

2 12's properly setup> 1 18 in a poor install.

Re: upcoming substage

i do have the room for a 7-8 cube enclosure.

what am would you recommend for a dual XXX12 or a single XXX18, and what box type and size. the recommened is 2.3cuft for each 12 and 4.2 for each 18.

and i dont NEED the sq, but i would like it. this will be my daily driver, but i want something that i can show off with. so if youve got suggestions please tell me, im still fairly new to this stuff. obviously a cheaper solution would be better, but i want some high quality stuff, not of that audiobahn shit or anything like that [yes i admit there crap, my right 6x9 separated, the VC i think. ill have pictures on here when i can get them uploaded from my phone.]

andi didnt know what to call it so i called it substage.

Re: upcoming substage

do you have to have RE? they areont the only company that can provide budget SQL

edit:
a guy over on SIN hit 143dB with 8 RE 8's in an enclosure tuned to 50Hz, 40Hz and 30Hz (port plugs) and 8 RE 8's should be around the price of an SX 18, or at least they are to where i live. and the thing is he only had 150w TOTAL to all 8 drivers so 19w per driver. very impresive.
