Continential and MK VIII Engine Difference

I am building a street rod using a '94 Lincoln MK VII engine and transmission. I have located a very low mileage '95 Lincoln Continental engine. I am told these engines are different but no one I have asked can tell me what these differences are. My big concern is if the transmission bolt patterns are the same. If the differences are just engine mounts, that is pretty much a none issue.

Can anyone help me here?

Thanks,

There Is A Difference

I have just returned from the salvage yard. The transmission bolt pattern and the from covers of the engine are different from the MK VIII engine. I am very surprised, I thought the idea of the modular engine was to use the same engine in many different applications.
