i just wanted to know if anyone has hatch orr a crx with a b16a swap where the stock motor mounts have been chisled off and new B series monunt have been welded in is this a bad thing to have a swap this way and does it affect wther or not you car is legal for the road i am not having any problems with the mounts and they seem to be welded nicely and motor straight in the engine bay ... IS THIS OK????
just one more Question just above the stamp on the block that says B16a someone has engraved in the block 11/30 ???? does anyone know what this could mean??? here is a pic of the swap http://www.crx.1hwy.com/whats_new.html Last edited by braunzcrx; 05-23-2005 at 01:40 PM. |

As long as the welds are good and the motor is in the correct place for the axles you should be good to go.

Re: B16a Butcher Job
As long as everything is straight and true your fine, nothing to worry about. Most people use the other mounts just because its easier to pay a couple hundred bucks than cut and weld.
