Oil light

I have got a new engine in my civic. The oil pump was replaced with one of my old engine. There was no problem but the dealer replaced my oil and there is a problem oil pressure now. The oil light comes on when the engine is real hot and the rpm is at 700 rpm the oil ligt is blinking but not real bright. Is my oil pump bad or what?

If its not real bright it could be a short, but I wouldnt drive it until you find out. If I rember correctly the oil light dosent come on untill a very low psi, dont want to fuk up your motor.

Re: Oil light

sounds like they might have hit the oil pressure sensor when changing the filter. its right above the filter. if they snagged it, it may be sending a weak signal, causing it to light slightly. id check that
