prizm can't pull hills.

Hi. I have a 1994 prizm, base model 40,000 miles, runs great. took this car out west and it wouldn't pull the hills. I'm not talking mountains (although it wouldnt do these either) I'm talking 5000 foot grades. I had to get going 80-90 mph to make the top. I was doing 35 mph most times going through salt lake city and was getting passed by geo metros! This car cruises @ 80 no problem but the hills (and mountains)just killed this car. I know the prizm is no power house but I think 30-35 mph up a hill is rather nasty. any ideas? thanks

Is it an auto? if it's a manual try a lower gear, maybe the one your in is too high.

Your prob. is the EVG valve and or the EVG module. Replace them and you'll be back in business.
