WTf was wrong with this guy?

I was driving down a street with only one lane each way and there was a person going really slow in front of me. This Dodge Dakota pickup kept riding my ass as if he couldn't see that this person in front of me was going slow.

We were going about 45ish, when the right lane opened up. I knew that it was going back to one lane in about 1/4 mile. At the same time the slow person was making a left turn so he started merging into the left turn lane. The Dakota moved to the right and gunned it. As soon as I was clear in my lane I downshifted to 2nd, and at the beginning of third I had about 2-3 cars on him before he got the point and slowed down to merge behind me.

I hate when people ride my ass when they can clearly see it's someone else who's really holding us up. Later down the street I had to turn left and he kept going straight, which is when I saw that it's a dakota. I have no idea which one.
