1998 Expedition - won't start
HELP!!!! Our expedition is driving us crazy. We have been towed home three times in the last week.
The truck intermittently refuses to start. It does not follow any set pattern. The truck does not need to be hot or cold it just suddenly refuses to start. When we try to start it and (it is refusing) there is one click and then silence. The dome lights dim. The windows and radio still work. We have had the battery, alternator, and starter checked. We replaced the starter becasue the test indicated it might be the problem. We were hopeful that the problem had been solved but ... we were left stranded again. After towing the car home it has started immediately two out of three times. Any ideas? Suggestions? HELP! Please! I'm driving my husband crazy with this truck! |

Re: 1998 Expedition - won't start
I'm having the same problem. I'm begining to think the key needs to be replaced. It starts with my key(i think... haven't tested exhaustively), but not my wife's. I know these keys have some chip in them, and guess there must be someking of battery?
