Has anyone ever seen/heard about swapping this engine into
the USDM 93-97? Can you do it w/o going AWD? If not I don't
think it would be worth it. You could buy a decent AWD for what
it would take to convert the Altima. Or maybe not......
Any thoughts?

Re: bluebird sr20det

I've heard/seen Altimas with the SR20DET swap. Dont know if it is the same engine as the Bluebird's. but it can be done.

Re: bluebird sr20det

Definatly can be done. Get a pulsar or bluebird front clip and mate it to your fwd tranny from your altima. I think you'll need the 5 speed. check out jgycustoms.com
This swap looks like it doesnt cost much to do but expect to pay around 6k to make it all come together.

Re: Re: bluebird sr20det

Somebody almost knows what there talkin about but not quite sure, heres the deal its does come in fwd but there is a need for some minor fabrication the engine is around 1200 to 1500, tranny comes with of course , u cannot just duct tape this engine to the altimas transmission totally different , the engine comes with its own but if your the 1 out of 679 people who actually does this insted of just thinks about it then , hell yeah ive only seen one conversion done its up in west virginia somewhere
