oil and water mix???

Ok this is probably the weirdest thing i have ever encountered with my car. First off, we are dealing with this car:

98 Eagle Talon NT/NA
FWD Drive
5 speed
engine 420A
complete exhaust and intake mod
wheels and tires
sound system

OK I have had the engine in this car replaced twice. Meaning that this is the 3rd engine that has been placed in this car. First off, the bearings went out on the car so I had the engine replaced with just the same one that was in there, 420A engine. The bearings went out again, but it was under warranty. The installers told me that it was a loose bearing that caused the problem.

Since then they have ripped the engine apart and completely rebuilt it again. The place is called Roadmaster Engine Corp if you have ever heard of it. One thing that I have noticed with this engine is that it always seems to run a little low on oil right before it is oil change time. Don't understand that, but I put up with it.

Now, it is half way through the oil change cycle, 1750 or so miles and about 1.5 months in. (assumming the 3 months, 3000 mile change) My oil light comes on when I start the car or take curves. Engine is running low on oil obviously. In addition, I flushed the radiator and cooling system and found a sludge in my water reservoir. Also, after flushing my system and a few days before I noticed a coolant smell coming from the passanger side of the engine. (view if you are looking at the engine as is you were standing and looking at the front of the car) You can also see a leak there too. Unfortunately you can not see where on the block its coming from because of that stupid "DO NOT TOUCH" metal sheet that is covering the exhaust manifold. Like someone is really going to touch it! I do know that it is not leaking from any obvious places like the thermostat or radiator. Could be the water pump, but its not spewing water out. Occasionally it will steam up from under the hood. There are no oil leaks that I can see. Driveway is spot free.

Since the engine has been through so much crap by this poor workmanship, is it possible that some how the water and oil are mixing? Therefore it is resulting in a sludge build up and loss of water and oil.

Re: oil and water mix???

If oil is getting coolant into your oil it will end up looking like a whiteish sludge... miracle whip... that happens with a bad head gasket.... if oil is getting into your coolant.. I don't know.. never heard of it happening.....coolant gets into the oil from the pressure pushing it into the oil and going through the engine, whips it into a frothy type shit... other than that....I dunno
