Pictures

Hey guys i was looking for pictures of the S-10 w/ a few custom options on the internet but i couldn't find it, and im sure yall have pictures that will help me out a lot. I am actually looking at the S-10, and after i buy one i am looking into putting some A/T tires on it. I like the 15x8 black rims w/ 33 x 12.5 tires. Will these fit w/out adding a lift? I dont want to lift it real high, i just want an S-10 that has big tires that is still functional. I like subtle, not extreme. Thanks for any help.

Re: Pictures

You'll probably need about 3, and possibly 4" of lift for those tires. I would try a 2" suspension lift first and if you need more height use a body lift

They sure look good when they're done though.

tires

you need a 6" lift to clear 33's , and even then they may rub on the lower portion of the front bumper , and unless you have the proper offset wheels , theyll rub on the frame when you turn , i know from personal experience that a 2" lift will clear 31's , also the prob with bigger tires - the bigger the tire , the more stress your gonna put on the suspension components - wheel bearing and axle bearings - youll wear them out much quicker then normal , but yeah , far as tires , i had very good luck with BFG a/t's , excellent on and off road traction , good tread wear , and virtually no road noise , anyways , good luck

Re: Pictures

I don't like BFG tires, but your right about them. That's what came on my Blazer, and that thing amazes me where it goes.

For a 33" tire you will need a 4-6 inch suspension lift and a 2" body lift with some fender trimming. Even with that you will have some frame rub.

Re: Pictures

31 inch tires with a 3 inch lift would get me the same set up as a ZR2, i like this. Is there anything else that you would reccomend doing if i were to start this set up?

Re: Pictures

Try these guy's.
http://www.truckn-store.com/product_list.asp?id=2187
You'll want their control arms, torsion bar keyway lift, and probably shackles for the back. If you plan on hauling lots or towing get extra springs in the back instead of shackles, although the ride is harder

Also try a Google search, there are several other companies out there

Re: Pictures

what is the difference in a regular S-10, and a ZR2 other than the bigger tires, as well as body lift?
