Re: Stereo Help
With the key on, or in the ACC position, do you have power at the Red and Purple / Red striped wires? Make sure you have your ground hooked up not only to the stereo's ground lead, but also to the body of the unit.
If you don't have power to the Red wire, check the fuse. If you don't have power to the purple, check the fues and also the ignition switch. Does everything else work (clock if so equipped, etc)?

Re: Stereo Help
You should have a ground post or screw on the back of the stereo. Make sure that is connected.

Re: Stereo Help
Yes. Although the cassis ground should be connected, if you have the other ground connected, the stereo should work. Are you sure it is a working stereo?

Re: Stereo Help
yea i am pretty darn sure. i saw the place in the back where i think the screw is suposed to go. and does that have to be hooked up for the stereo to come on. also do all the wires including the speaker wires need to be connected for the stereo to come on? also i think i am goinng tomorow to the local stereo store to have them test the deck
