multiple electrical problems

i have a 2000 GC, a few moths ago the guages started acting funny. they would go crazy and the radio would shut off. if i turned the truck off then started it again everything was fine. it would do it once a week. then i started having stating problems, when i turned the key, nothing would happen, but the guages would flip out continuously. if i waited till they stopped, it would start fine, but would sometimes idle too low to stay running. the other day, i went to start it and the battery was dead, i jumped it and it ran ok for a few minutes then died. i jumped it again and was able to get it home. now it won't start. i replaced the altinator, but when i try to start it, all it does is click, it won't turn over. i am going to replace the starter, but i'm looking for other suggestions

Have your battery checked.Preferably out of car.Auto Zone,Wal Mart and many others will do it for free.

I am having the same problem with my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Did you find out what the problem was??

i have a 2000 gc too. I've got the same problem with mine. I've checked the battery and the computer and haven't found any problems yet. Any suggestions!!!!!!
