FLORIDA!!! Yay!!

i'm going to florida in 12 days and i wanted to ask Q's and get A's about stuff.

i'm gonna be in the orlando INT'L drive area(hotel), does anyone live around there?

I am looking forward to going to the theme parks and what one is the "best" in your opinion?

Also, america is a new thing to me as i've only been to spain before, so is it VERY VERY hot?(compared to uk)

When I went to Florida it rained constantly and was quite fucking humid, hot as well. Go to Disneyland at least to ride on Space Mountain though, it's pretty wicked. Otherwise I couldn't tell ya much about theme parks, you could google that shit though.

Re: FLORIDA!!! Yay!!

Disneyland is in california, disneyworld is in florida. Although I live in the US, I haven't been to florida in about 14 years (I'm 17 years old, lol), so I don't really remember it all that well.

As far as climate goes, you shouldn't have any problems. Florida is hotter and more humid than most of the US, though. It shouldn't be that much hotter than spain, but it will be more humid. If you like the UK's climate, feel free to visit me in the northwest. It's been raining almost non stop for the last week and a half.

Re: FLORIDA!!! Yay!!

Universal Studios. All the other places are little kids rides, or epcot(BORING) If you are older than say 13, yet younger than 65 stay away from MGM and disney

There are lots of online sites that will give you the scoop on the attractions and stuff to do in the Orlando area. Traffic is hell though, at least when I was down there a few years ago.

Have fun.

Re: FLORIDA!!! Yay!!

Universal Studios is the best... the Disney places are more for younger kids. But if you havent bin i'd still go to magic kingdom. And i'd suggest taking a drive to Tampa (like an hour away) and going to Busch Gardens, they have alotta rollercoasters

Re: FLORIDA!!! Yay!!

If you go to MGM - you MUST go on the "Rockin Rollercoaster" (arrowsmith-themed ride) It does 0 to 60 in 2 seconds. It is an incredibly badass indoor coaster that gives you a huge rush. I rode it 3 times, and that wasn't nearly enough. It's just so damn exhilerating and happy

you should go to seaworld too, i loved it there. it's gonna be like 75-90 degrees prolly...i live in wisconsin but that's what the temps are like down there i've heard. don't bother with the kennedy space center or w/e it's called, unless you absolutely love space. i thought it was really boring there. have fun!

Re: FLORIDA!!! Yay!!

I live in Florida

It sucks
Ive been here for about 13 years now and Im moving to Virginia in a couple months for college

It is very hot and humid
Go to busch gardens, wet n wild, disney, basically all of them, their pretty cool. Also, when its not 85 degrees, go to the beach, I live in Sarasota(south west of Orlando) and the beaches are the best thing about Florida, the worst thing is the old people driving, they suck
