Mr. Civic's '95 Ex vs. 2000ish Pontiac Gran Prix

Hey, remember Mr. Civic's race with a Ford Tempo? Yep, same car. I will try to build up this story like I did the last one to keep you guys interested, or to get a laugh. Well, here it goes....

Well, somtime after lunch I decided it was a good time to go on the internet for the rest of the weekend. My friend, Mr. Civic pulls up and asks if I want to goto 'Town Fair Tire' to check out wheels. We end up changin our minds and keep going. To cut to the chase, we pick up a friend and decide to go to the local Autozone. Mr. Civic likes the shiney Intake piping and blue filter on the shelf and picks it up. We drop off the friend, install the intake with little to no problem and he starts it up to give it a revv. Sounds pretty good. Before, the engine sounded whimpy, now it had a deeper growl too it. You could hear it sucking in the air. Probably attached wrong.:P We drive around and he tests it out. Can't really tell a difference in performance, but it still sounds good. That's all that matters. What ricers.:P

Anyway, we see quite a beast in front of us. An orange Nascar! It's Tony Stewert! He must have taken a wrong turn at talladega!:o
Anyway, we pull up to the stock gran prix with the nascar paintbjob and straight flow exhaust. My friend revvs. The guy doesn't revv back(he usually drives like a nutt), instead he just looks straight foward. Guessing at the light.... The light goes green and the Nascar guns it. My friend takes off late and like a granny-he isn't too good in first gear. By the top of first-early second, the Nascar already had 2-3 carlenghts from the dump due to his V-6 automagic. He switches lanes and keeps it wot. He stops pulling so hard by the time mr. civic hits third. The Nascar finally shuts down. Musn't have been supercharged. If it was, he would have pulled a bit more.

Keep in mind this guy is in his early 40's, wears the nascar suit and cap, has the special mesh window and rollcage, but has a stock V6. He speeds around the HS parkinglot to pick up his son. My father happend to race him once in his silverado. My father got a good lead from a dump due to traction-low end torque, and he kept it.

Cliffs: Slow Civic with autozone intake loses to less slow stock gran prix by not too much. The Gran prix musn't have been supercharged. Let's just say I am not trying mr. nascar with my dx.:P
