keypad immobilizer

Hi,
I have just been given a 'P' reg 106, but the owner hasn't started it for over 5 months and cant remember the code to start the engine. I wanted to know if you could bypass it so you dont have to enter your code every time you start it. I have heard that you can unplug it, is this true?.

Any help would be much apprieciated,

Cheers Gav

if you can get the car started (difficult without the code) you can unplug the imobiliser which should then let you start the car without it! this happened to my car when i tuck it to the garrage as i suspected a faulty immobilser!
