all motor d16y8

i just finished getting the same set up as the bisimoto crx had on his d15 motor... but did it on my d16y8 ended up with 12:1 compression and my cylinder comp is 260 in each cylinder how do you all think my car is gonna run??? any ideas???

its gonna get dyno tuned this coming wensday i'm hoping for some good numbers

any thoughts let me know

milled head.... 12 ; 1 compression
knife edged crank & polished
new eagle rods
p&p head
5 angle valve cut
crower springs/retainers
zex stage 2 camshaft
aem camgear
p&p intake manifold & matched throttle body
intake/header/exhaust
gsr injectors
walboro 255 fuel pump
aem fuel presure regulator
Real Spoon Programmed p28 ECU


tuning this coming wensday had to break it in 650 miles with 3 oiil changes

Good luck getting it tuned on pump gas. From the research I've done, the highest you usually want to go on pump gas is 11.5:1 on a b-series. I'm sure the d-series isn't much different. You can go higher but you will be sacrificing some potential power. You should get it tuned for pump gas and race gas. I think you can get 100 octane at some 76 gas stations. At least by my house you can. You will be able to get quite a bit more power with tuning and race gas. Any way show us the dyno sheets when you're done. Good luck.

can someone figure out wat my real compression is?

d16z6 block with 89-90 integra pistons
stock rods

milled y8 head .040 thousands
zex stage 2 cam
p&p head

d16z6 3 layer metal head gasket?

i'm being told with the set up i have i will need to run FULL RACE FUEL even after tuning... like all day everyday in order for my car not to ping and for it to run rite....

well that kinda sucks you have to use race fuel all the time. But it bet it will be well worth it. i want to see the dyno numbers, you better post them :P

oh damn...and you prolly thought 2.25 a gallon was high....most race fuel is anywhere from 3.75 to 5 bucks a gallon!! from what ive seen anyways....im sure it varies greatly on where you are and what kind you have access too.
